I went to the NJ Pride Parade. It was so awesome I can’t believe it. I missed most of the parade itself because of traffic getting there but caught the tail end of the parade. Where I ended up getting a ton of free condoms. Then went to the festival area and it was awesome. There was music and things to buy. I bought a trans pride flag, a pride flag, a necklace with the trans symbol on it, multiple bracelets (pride, trans, equality) a t-shirt that says equality but is super nice looking. Also got more free condoms (seriously though free condoms out the wazoo there). I saw part of the AIDS quilt which was neat to see. But the coolest thing was seeing everyone together being so happy. Everyone was so nice and accepting. It was the first time in along time that I felt comfortable in a social setting. I also ran into someone I met before at the pride center I go to and saw him there which was nice cause we got to catch up. All in all it was a most fabulous day.
